Chansen LS031 3-Pcs Carbide Tipped Hollowing Chisel Set is our best hollowing tool set which was designed to create bowls and hollow vessels, specifically for deep hollowing projects.
The set features replaceable carbide cutters, mounted on solid mirror finish stainless steel tool shafts, coupled with stainless steel ferrules, and smooth long solid beech handles.
The oversize tool shafts provide excellent support while past the tool rest edge, as required in deep hollowing work. The extra long beech handles provide outstanding control, allow you to leverage the most balanced support required for such demanding work. The Swan-necks allow for undercutting of the lip often featured in this type of work.
The set includes a Straight Tool, a Medium-Angle Swan-Neck Tool, a Steep-Angle Swan-Neck Tool. Overall length of the tools is 565 – 605mm with 395mm beech handles and 8.9mm dia. carbide cutters.
The carbide tools feature indexable carbide inserts which will always keep you turning with a sharp edge; once one of the edges dulls just rotate the carbide inserts to a fresh, sharp edge and keep on turning.
This great set comes well protected in a beautiful and foam lined case.
